Success in Lemon Tree's First Fundraising Event in Calpe

Calpe, March 1, 2024 - The recently established local non-governmental organization (NGO), Lemon Tree, has achieved a significant milestone in its mission to assist underprivileged children in Calpe. Their inaugural fundraising event has been a resounding success, raising an impressive €1725 in a single night.

The funds collected will be allocated towards covering the costs of extracurricular activities for disadvantaged children in Calpe. This initiative not only aims to provide entertainment and additional education to these children but also to offer them a chance for comprehensive development they might otherwise not have.
The event, held at Gastrobottega de Giuseppe in Calpe, was an enjoyable evening of dinner accompanied by live music.

The generous contribution from Gastrobottega de Giuseppe has been instrumental in the success of the fundraiser, as they allocated €5 from each menu sold, and the restaurant staff also donated all tips received throughout the night.

The support of sponsors has also been vital to the event. Local companies such as Young at Heart, Century 21 Evolution, and Casa Bernardi provided baskets to be raffled among diners, thus contributing to increasing the amount raised. Lemon Tree wishes to express their sincere gratitude to these sponsors and all participants for their generosity and unwavering support.

An anonymous donation of €1000 stood out among the contributions, driven by the knowledge that the funds raised will be entirely devoted to helping children, without incurring administrative costs from large organizations.

In the near future, the association plans to organize more fundraising events, with the aim of extending their assistance to children in other nearby towns such as Benissa and Altea.
